Chapter 4

As the bell rang , marking the end of the period, Lori Brown handed me a small square box . Inside , wrapped in cotton ,laid a silver chain with a small ball, attached. One-half of an inch in diameter , the ball was mounted on a swivel, so that the ball would spin, reflecting light off the polished surface.
